Forum rules
If it is fake hair related it goes in here!
1) Nice clear pic of the hair- we are not particularly interested in cam whoring - you want to show yourself off - put it in the gallery for 'everything else'.
2) When commenting - please be more OT than "wow you are freakin' hot!" We all like to be told we are hot mamma's - but mention the hair too!
3) Please don't be horrified if people give you helpful criticism. If you give criticism, please do so respectfully.
4) If you would like to NOT hear criticism, please say so.
5) If you are specifically looking to refine your technique, please post it in the "Critique" section (under Advice & Know How) so we can help be extra picky. ;)
6) The Show Off section is only for showing off hair, not making sales. Please make no references to eBay, A and P, or any kind of sales. You may offer the same item for sale in A and P, but no cross linking between A and P and Show Off. Show Off should be a place to comment and encourage each other; we don't want Show Off to become a billboard for sellers.

"I can't believe it's not synth!" #2: "Crocheted" Naturals

Post by miasmahair » Thu Jul 14, 2011 5:53 am

Hey hey!
So I've been noodling with a new new NEW technique, and I've figured me out a way to getting closer to the look of crocheted naturals in an easier way than for the one set that I did ages ago. Anyways, I think they're pretty nifty.
Onto the photos!

Turquoise and lime. Hand-blended, so they're a bit less mixey than I would usually like, but still cute! Showing you my awesome loops :P
Image

Plain sunshine purple thin ones. I haven't manicured the ends on these YET, but I will! You all know how I hate shoddy ends!
Image
Image

A bright red blended with a little orange and magenta. Can't really tell, but it does add depth.
Image
Image

Turquoise and odd dark bits, shows the texture a bit more.
Image

Brown, orange, red and raspberry blends. The ones at the back are quite fat, maybe you can see.
Image
Image

AAAAAAND the piece de resistance! My newest install! Popped these in last night. I honestly didn't mean to end up making them so fat, but um, I know now... I made 56 harlequin DEs with a light side and a darker side, got 49 of them in, they're pretty big!

Sorry about the insane amount of photos, but I feel like a total babe right now :P Enjoy!

Oh my gosh these are beautiful. I love the textures you have going on there, your work goes from strength to strength.

The set you made for yourself is out-and-out stunning.
What, that? It's a spade.

I completely agree with everything stated above. These are wonderful! I love the texture and blends that you've come up with. Some are more noticeable than others but subtle isn't really a bad thing. :) Also that install is lovely! I'm so excited to try woolies!
