They're unreal! I've never seen fire fans before. My niece and her hubby do fire twirling and I stand well back because I lack coordination ;)

Awesome photos too!

That looks amazing! How do you start doing something like that? And where on earth do you practice??

I have a lot of friends that fire performing and there is a large scene in brighton of people who are into it so it's fairly easy to pick up as there are lots of people to learn from and places to meet and have a play. I tend to spend alot of my time in parks with friends so i just bring circus toys along and practise then. :)
There is also a huge amount of videos and tutorials online as well as websites that sell the equipment cheap, so it's easy to get into just takes a bit of dedication to master as with anything.

Looking at the pictures there seems to be quite a lot of similarities to poi moves (the butterfly etc), is that the case?

I'd love to give it a go...I've seen footage and stuff but never actually seen it live. I can do poi quite competently so was wondering if it would be easily picked up with that background

Yeah there are alot of moves that can be transferred between alot of different circus toys i.e staff, poi, fans even hoops which i find makes the second (and so on) thing you learn easier as you already have a base of moves to work with.

A lot of it i worked out simply by trying out poi moves and seeing what works
