yet another one

Post by Lilinth » Wed Jul 22, 2009 10:11 pm

http://c0lorz-dreads.skyrock.com/

definitely not her dreads, the site isn't in English so i'm not sure what its saying regarding selling but for one thing that pic on the left should be recognisable to all ;) and it has had a watermark added

Oh dear, there appears to be A LOT of very recognisable images on there, all with their watermark slapped across... need someone who reads french to have a see what they're talking about.

My limited french is implying its a dread fan site???

At the bottom where they put "Photograph improved by Us!" makes me laugh
From what I can tell it's just a "look at their pretty hair" site, odd how they have "improved" the images with watermarks though!

☆ YeaH! Bienvenue à tOus sur le blOg de Whispi et Naga, les deux amies blOgeuses, qui vOnt vOus faire partager leur passiOn pour les dreads !

roughly means: 'welcome everyone to the blog of Whispi and Naga, two friends who want you to share with you their passion for dreads'

so it's a fan site, as far as I can tell they're not selling..

I know I'm a bit late but I needed to clarify it (:
This blog is really only to show off nice hair. One of the two creators of the blog, Nagawa, is a dreadmaker herself, and most of watermarked pictures on the blog are hers. SyntheticRdreads (now on syntheticrdreads.canalblog.com) is her business. I know her quite well from another forum.

+ they haven't updated the blog since the end of 2008 -__-
once upon a time, rockngene.

they are still stealing and watermarking other peoples pics, and not crediting them, which is still copyright infringement

*urgh, i think i have SOME things to explain, sorry if the english of this one isn't perfect*

So, with my friend we have creat this blog long time ago, in 2005. This year, we're 14/15 with my friend, and it's the first time for us, we looked this style of hair. It's 'crazy' for us, nobody nows synthetic dreads, just Sooshii (Koonamik).

So, we want to creat the first blog about this hair-art, to show what is it for french people, we think it's really enormous!
When i have talking about that to my friend, i have record some pictures on my computer, and i haven't record adresses, and i don't know how are created some dreads on this blog!
(if you want an example: on the last page, the picture with blue/black dreads is from Sooshii, and the link to Koonamik is on the text (+Je vais vous présenter de jolies Fake hair bleues et noires toujours trouvées sur Koonamik: I'm going to present to you pretty fakes, blue and black, found on Koonamik).

We search again and record lot of pictures.

After a moment, i want synthetic dreads too, and Sooshii was the only one who creat it. But the price was too expensive for me (train+dreads+hotel+food... to heavy!). So i have decided to created too. But they are... horrible. So i haven't post it, and we continued to upload some pictures on this blog.
And, one day my dreads are not too bad too. So i upload it on this blog to show mine. I was really proud to show my work lol.

And one day i have decided to creat my own blog & other.
We have continued a moment this blog. But i have no more news from my friend... She hasen't upload more pix on this blog. And this is the same for me. One day I have up pictures from my dreads, Sisen, Nafrayou, but that's all.

So, to conclued:
*on this blog and on texts, we have NEVER said it's our work, we just said "hey yankee, look! this is pretty nice! colours on this picture is blue grey and black! pretty cool ya!"
*when a picture has got a link, the link's intact
*whe has writed "C0lorz-dreads" on pictures for everyone who takes pictures remember the name of the blog.
*Yes, of course, if we 'link' pictures with colors dreads, it's because we want to be famous with a lot of visitors and comments about synthetic dreads (poor us --'), and to show this new style to more and more french teens.

So, it wasn't a bad intention. A stupid one if you want lol.

So i'm really really SORRY if this blog confused you. If i remember well, Twiggy Devour was sent a mail to you to delete pictures, and i have delete it . (but i haven't read i think, more than 200 comments now)

If you want, i can delete all of pictures of course!!!
I think i creat this blog again, to present synthetic dreads better than it. And i can explain why i deleted all pictures, of course.

But the real problem now...
French are fuckers...
A LOT of people used some pictures, tell "this is MY work I HAVE creat ALL of dreads who are present on this blog", and of course, it's not... It's a problem because their prices are really expensive, and of course, the work isn't ok to sell... And a lot of people pay for dreads, and they never received it!!! (yeah, french suckers!!!)
(and this is the reason why i take an enoooormous tag on my pictures)
This problem is on ebay too.

In our days in France, it's a real mode. Sooshii and Nafrayou are stars, and it's a business. Evil people are joking with internet, pictures, and money... too bad.
(and the baddest, i think the problem is just in France O_o)

Well well, I think it's all i have to said about it. If you want i can contact other people who used your pictures to closed their blog or just deleted pictures in France, give me a PM.

Now,since i creat synthetic dreads too, I really understand your problem with pictures :/

Thank you to read my, i hope you have understand all. If you want i can explain something more if you have questions.

I'm sorry, don't hate me more please :i10:

It's very simple: Delete all the pictures that are not yours. Leave the pictures that are yours.

There are plenty of French websites about dreads now, so this one with stolen pictures is not needed any more. Why not just delete the entire blog?

people generally do not mnd you using pictures if
A) You ask their permission
and
B) you credit them as the maker of the hair.

If you do this, you will be fine. If you don't, I suggest removing the site as you are upsetting a lot of hairmakers. Also do not use images of other peoples faces as YOUR avatar.

The problem I have with this is that these people tend to hotlink the photos which screws me as far as my bandwith.
If you're going to jock someone's photos, at least save it on your own server and not use mine. That makes me want to go after them 10 times more. lol

I don't do this anymore because a lot of the people stealing photos from me are also customers, but back when I had a personal people website and people would hotlink, I'd replace the images with graphic porn (and of course upload them under a new name for my own use) and then report the thieves to their hosts for having inappropriate content. Works like a charm ;)

Nowadays if someone's hotlinking images I usually ignore it, but if it's really bad sometimes I just replace all of the files with whatever my current ad is.
