International sweet and savour swap! - SEND BY 5th NOV!

Post by Monique_marion_may » Fri Aug 26, 2011 9:44 am

Hey! Seen as this was such a success last time, and i've had people messaging me asking to organise another one this is what i'm doing!

You know how it works, you sign up, i pair you up, you buy sweeties for them, they buy sweeties for you, you send them to each other - WE ALL CHOW DOWN ON NOMS! :D

There will be a limit on price. Thinking £10 (or whatever you can afford - please message me if you'd like to take part, but do want to spend less you can still take part!)

I think it would be really nice to have it international - then we get lots of unusual sweets from over the pond - but again, if you'd like to keep it within your country - not a problem!!

I'm going to leave sign up open for a while - this is going to be relaxed and not rushed! :) please leave a comment down below if you're in! xxx

Hmmm I am tempted! Bear in mind things cost more here though, so the reciever may not get a HUGE amount for £10 :P

Trippy - it's up to you hun ofcorse, but my posage was only about £7. I send dread kits to USA like every week and it's usually only £5.

No worries Amy, I'm sure that'll be the case for a few people and we can explain that to your partner :D Quality not quantity ;)

Hehehe, just send people smash Amy ;)

I might be up for this. I like buying sweeties! Er, is it the "no chocolate" kinda thing in case it melts & goes all gross?

Personal preference I think. I'm not sure. In the last swap I ran people did include chocolate and there were no reported problems. I recieved chocolate from my swapee and the were totally fine. But i suppos if you're sending to someone in places such a texas chocolate may not be the best idea! haha

What does everyone else think?

Good plan Sarah :D they do mini bags now! I was looking at stuff today, and I think it will be fine actually, there's lots of mini size stuff in the shops, I could just get a load of that.

Yeah, I think I guess it depends on where the swapee lives. I've never done a sweetie swap, so I didn't know.

No worries hun it's good it's been flagged up. I think ill ask everyone to discuss it with their partners to decide if they are happy for choco to be included :)

I had so much fun with the last one! I definately want in! I'm in Missouri and it is the hottest time of the year right now. It probably wouldn't be a good idea for me to send or receive meltable candies until October.

Aye, put my name down.

Also, in case people are unaware postage is a bit slower to the US at the minute as they have added more security measures on all post entering the country.

I'll be in, i could probably get some things from the Netherlands and Germany haha

But a question, will allergies be mentioned? I mean i have a nut allergy so if someone decides to sent chocolate with nuts that would be bad. That kind of stuff ^^
