STOLEN PHOTOS! ilovedelirium.com

Post by dreadviolet » Tue Feb 01, 2011 9:55 am

I found some of my photos on that site, and I bet there's other stolen ones too.

http://www.ilovedelirium.com

I see at least ikickshins, cypherlox and lots of others. Makes me so mad, obviously this is a total ripoff.

Even our watermark is showing here: :D

I'm at the top of this page - http://www.ilovedelirium.com/falls_lana.html

and on the cyberlocks page. Kind of amusing as those pictures are so old, I forget they're around sometimes, haha.

Putting this site through an auto translation also gets amusing results -

"These Falls are handmade and are mounted on elastic or clamps, fastened easily to a ponytail (ponytail, bun) or an onion"

I just noticed the same thing:

"4. PAYMENT CONFIRMATION. After making the payment you must send a mail to us with your complete data to make the shipment (name, direction and cellular telephone or). If you made the payment by banking deposit you must verify it including in the mail the folio of the card, the amount, the date and the hour of the proceeding, if you can scan it or to take a photo him is better."

WTF? Does she ask her customers to scan their credit card or what?

as well as all the headrazor pictures! Everyone surely *knows* those pictures- the website has such obviously copied pictures. also many dreads in styles that from what I can tell, they don't actually say they sell!

dammit. I don't have time to deal with this.

sent her some messages and cross posted to FB. I don't expect it to do much good.

Looks like she has taken the index page down for maintenance -

"Cerrado por mantenimiento hasta nuevo aviso." (Closed for maintenance until further notice.)

Subpages are still accessible if you go to them directly, though.

Her "logo" on the front page is a Meez character.

I posted a status update about it on The Black Abbey's Facebook. Apparently from there a friend of mine cross posted to one of the crafting sites and those girlies let loose on her. The pages came down soon after. It's nice to see fellow artisans from all corners of the crafting community come together to defend others work :)

She replied to my email.
Sandra Soto wrote:(Excuse my bad english)

Hello, I'm the owner of ilovedelirium.com. I want to explain what has happened.
Mi little store is really local and I only sell to people in my town. I do not made the website, I paid to a persone to elaborate it. I never thought there will be a problem on showing the images, because here exist many others little stores that use pictures from big international stores, even in MercadoLibre (the Ebay's name in my country).
I understand how serious is the situation and I've requested to remove the site until I have my own pictures.
My apologies for any inconvenience :(

Sandra Soto.
So at least she's apologising. I guess this case is closed. :)

Considering those images were also on a Myspace page that any teenager could put together as well as an official website I don't really buy that story. But again, at least there is an apology and the images are down.
