sorry if this is off topic but i figured you guys/gals might be able to help me =]
i have a ball jointed doll that i would like to give a dreadwig but im a little unsure on how to go about doing it.
for those that dont know what a ball jointed doll is, they are dolls made of resin that are jointed at all the main places a human would be. they come in all different sizes and mine is 60cm/2ft tall
they come hairless/bald and you buy/make wigs for them, i wanted to give mine a dreadwig but that scale of it is giving me some issues
a normal comb isnt giving me the tight backcombing that i need so what could i use?
heres a picture of a ball jointed doll wig [this one is for a much smaller size doll though]
dread wig for ball jointed dolls?

You could try using a nit comb. It's a VERY fine toothed comb used for removing head lice. Gross I know but might work:)

Re: dread wig for ball jointed dolls?
Does it have to be synth? I make them in roving wool and get great results- I have shown some off in here

Many more on my website http://doll.littlepinkfaery.co.uk
if you want to have a look.
Whilst I know it is totally possible to make synth dreads ( generally not much backcombing or palm roll then for a natural style) roving means you can make for any size doll, even puki size!

Re: dread wig for ball jointed dolls?
thank you both!
ill pick up that comb soon and test it out =] ive got some left over kk to play with =]
=O your work is amazing! your lil dolly falls are freaking adorable!
i don't know why i didn't think of roving dreads! XP
do you just sew them to the wig cap?
thank you again! soon my Spencer will be a total kick ass cyber boy!
p.s. once i finish what ever i do for him would i be able to put it in the show off section? or would it be off topic since its not for a human? >_<
