All righty, so we're going to make foam flowers the easy way .... first of all you need foam ... hairbands ... mini rubber bands ... paper ... pencil ... aaaaand scissors
I find making a template for the flowers best, that way I can draw round and cut out lots of foam shapes to start with .... like this ....
You need two of these for each flower
The next thing I do is cut out thin strips of foam to make my stamen - the thinner the strip the 'curvier' it seems to get.
Then I grab around 4-5 stamen and the inner foam part of the flower ....
I fold it all over the hairband pulling all the petals together like this ....
Then I wrap a mini rubber band round the base of the petals tightly
Tease out the petals making a flowery shape ... this is just to make sure there's no petals snagged or folded badly
Do the same again with your next 'layer' of petals
Tease out the petals until you're happy with how your flower looks
..... aaand then taadaa .... make loads and impress your friends, neighbours, work collegues, pets etc
HAPPY MAKING!!!!!!

It looks like a square folded in half, then folded into thirds, and cut the petals away from the folded point.
