Curly Mohair

Post by CrossEyedMorgan » Thu Mar 03, 2011 4:17 am

I just bought a bit of curly mohair, and it said it could be felted (I was gunna make felted dreads) but it's absolutely gorgeous! I don't really want to ruin it and I'm not really sure what I'm meant to do with it.
Are their any mohair tutorials? I had a little look but didn't see anything. Or do you just have some ideas of what to do with it?

Here's a pic...

Thanks!

take 4 or so strands and braid it in, simples.

You will moult & shed fibres EVERYWHERE. Gracey suggested to me back when I had colinette one zero installed to run damp hands through my hair on a morning as that would pick up all the rogue sheddy fibres.

I have some of that too! Isn't it GORGEOUS? Anyways, I want to try to turn mine into a fringe eventually.

I don't make wool dreads, but I wouldn't think felting that into dreads would ruin it at all. It looks like it would make beautiful dreads!
