How to Make Single-Ended Dreads (Boiling Water)

Post by IKickShins » Thu Aug 21, 2008 3:06 am

The tutorial uses boiling water to seal the dreads, but you can also use steam from a tea kettle or a steamer.

What You will Need
- Kanekalon jumbo braid
- A comb or backcombing brush
- A kettle of boiling water or a steamer
- Pliers or gloves (to hold the ends of the dreads and keep from burning your fingers)

Instructions
1. Section off some kanekalon jumbo braid to make your dread. The amount of hair you section off will depend on how thick you want the dreads to be. Try experimenting with different amounts of hair until you find the size that you like.

Thanks for posting this :) I'd been curious about how to seal dreads this way and now I know!

Will try it out tomorrow.
