Hello lovelies. I realize that most of you will already be aware on how to do these but I thought I would make a series of 'Beginners Guides' as it were. Can't remeber who it was but there was a post a coupe of weeks ago on asking on how to do this and I said I'd make one. Sorry it's taken so long.

You Will Need...
Your two sections of KK in your chosen colours. (Here I'm using LA Trend #1 and Buyhairs Strawberry)
A Comb
Scissors
Something to secure the hair with (I just use a hair bobble)
Your work station.

(ignore the mister's hands lol. He'd just come back from working on his cars)

Take your two sections hair and loop them around each other. It should look like the picture above. If anyone needs that explaining a bit more just ask and I shall use my l337 skillz in Paint lol. I should note that you should use half of what your would normally use for each section as they are going to be folded round each other. Think of it like making two SE's loops together kind of.

Secure your hair to your work station ready to back comb. I'm just using a garden chair for mine.

Back comb the first side.

Turn it round and do the other side like so

You should now have something like this.

Now you are ready to steam! I hope you found this useful and if you have questions or comments feel free to post them here.

(I haven't forgotten about the tutorial on steaming I was going to do. I just haven't had time but I recently got my own steamer so I should be able to do it at some point in the near future)

Ok..having some issues I'm wondering if you can help me with...when I did my harlequins...when I steam them...It always looks pinched in the middle..like you can tell it's two loops..it doesn't smooth out in the middle the way a regular DE does.. :i10: ...does that make any sense? I tried backcombing a bit more and still looks that way...any advice to help out would be appreciated! Thanks!

this is exactly how I do mine. When I swirl mine together just before I steam I get a really wide comb and dig it into both colours and rat it together slightly and it seems to seal much better like that :)
