loose hair extensions

Post by cristina1226 » Thu Feb 25, 2010 3:40 am

:D HI, i wanted fusion hair extensions and bought the hot glue gun and the dual heat wand . My mom is a hair dresser but has never done these hair extensions before so we watched a video on you tube on how to apply. So first she put a drop of hot glue w/ hot glue gun on a small amount of hair (fake hair), then twisted it with he fingers and when dry , she put the hair up against my real hair and used the dual heat wand to melt the glue through my hair and synthetic hair..then she rubbed her fingers together and there it was done for that strand. But then next day it was all sliding off, by the end of the week it was just a couple of long hairs here and there and my shorter layer was very visible...can some please tell what where doing wrong, or what were missing we did it just like the video we saw but idk why it wont stay in my hair, it just slides away.. :( :(

You need to make sure the bond represents what looks like a grain of rice. It needs to be sealed top and bottom. If its just rolled you will get lots of shedding.

Ok, 1) Turn your caps lock off ;) hehe.
2) If this is something you want to do professionally, i recommend a course. Its not something i can just explain and you'll get it right if you have no experience. I use a glue gun with glue sticks, and put the glue on the end of the extensions hair and push that through the natural hair and roll top and bottom to create a rice shape sealed top and bottom as i said in the previous post. Just practice getting this rice shape right... thats the key.

Caps lock is just hard to read, looks like someone is shouting ;)

I dont know where abouts you are, but if you are serious about it, then give Prostyles a ring as i said, they provide good training and you gain certificates with it too. You cant learn properly from videos, you need to do it and feel the extensions.
