Installing DE Dreads....Help!

Post by Jazmin » Mon Feb 09, 2009 1:34 am

I have only ever installed Single ended dreads on myself, and my friend wants me to install double ended dreads.... any advice or tips would be very helpful because Ive never worked with DE's before.

It's basically the same. Just braid down one end of the DE like you would braid down an SE :)

What do you mean? How do you normally install your SEs?

they would be next to each other as if standing on end if that makes sense.. basiaclly so once you have braided in one side of the dread, the other dread hangs down to kind of cover the braided part. does that make any sense?!

I had this problem too for the back of my head. I looped a hairband around the top so it looked like an SE and did it that way. I cheat. :D

I had made a couple of DE's and installed them into my hair (currently I have only one recycled DE in my hair). It's not hard. :D I think it makes your hair appear as if you have more dreads. But, I have to practice making DE's since I am primarily stuck on making SE's at this point in time.
