Buying Direct From BnG?
Hey all,
have any of you ordered direct from BnG?
How are they on shipping?
If someone could direct me to reviews about them
I would appreciate it so much.

Afrocare is nice and cheap for me... i am usually £6.50 ($9.70) for postage
if i were to order from BnG, it'd be £25.16 ($37.50)... that costs more than the hair itself

What are you looking to order from them? I carry their products, and usually my international shipping's a little cheaper.

Re: Buying Direct From BnG?
all the postage prices i mentioned above, were for 13 bags of Jumbo KK... you were $42.50 =P
i really do want to try BnG but since i live in the UK, it's just way too expensive to get hold of T_T

I was looking for Purple...ikickshins wrote:What are you looking to order from them? I carry their products, and usually my international shipping's a little cheaper.
I ordered Purple with white tips from doctored locks...and the color just wasn't right for me
and at the time the Dark Purple was out of stock.
But I was also looking at getting some more 1B and either Sweet Red (which i have abit of) or some actual red or emerald lol.
How much does your shipping usually run?
Your prices and selection are better than the beauty supply shops here in NS.
If the shipping is friendly to my wallet I may make an order from you around christmas....
cause I like your baubly bits too

Re: Buying Direct From BnG?
The lavender on my color chart is actually BNG purple.
The #1B I carry is also BNG.
BNG does not make sweet red. That color is made by RastAfri. The closest BNG color is the tomato red silver braid (which is the same tomato red kk I carry).
BNG does not make emerald green. That's Modu.
I don't have any BNG red in stock right now because it's on backorder there, but the Modu red I've got is the same color.

When it comes down to it I don't really care if it's BnG (I just wanted to try some of their hair) I'm mainly looking for those colors that backcomb and seal well. If shipping is good and the colors are there (regardless of brand) I'll probably order from you.

Re: Buying Direct From BnG?
Sweet red is harder to seal than regular kk, but all of the others are easy to work with.
If you don't want to fight with the sweet red, I'd recommend the tomato red instead.

The red is just an accent in a mainly black set.
Mabye i'll blend the two together.

Just a hint about sweet red - if you have a decent steamer, it will seal just fine. I never had any problems with it.

Sweet red takes a bit longer to steam in general, but it is steamable I definately reccommend buying from Sarah, though!

I remember using Sweet Red for a set for Astray from the old board. It was fine to seal with a kettle, I'm thinking one of the better to seal actually, haha.ikickshins wrote:Sweet red is harder to seal than regular kk, but all of the others are easy to work with.

Tomato red seals very beautifully, but the silky texture makes it a bit harder to backcomb.
Sweet red looks like a lighter burgundy whilst tomato red is a bit more ont he brownish side of red.
