PVC/VINYL Legwarmers
Really wasn't sure where to put this, i'm not really looking for a tutorial as such as i don't think there is one (though if there is it would be amazing) i'm just trying to figure out how make legwarmers like this:
I really want some, have done for so long but actually buying them is stupidly expensive so i want to try making some. They look like they are wrapped around the legs and tied on with string but i can't tell what shape they are O_o Are they circle or what?
If anyone can make observations and give me ideas to help me figure out how to make them i would be very happy ^_^ and also what material would you say it is? I'm guessing some kind of vinyl but i'm not sure :/

Re: PVC/VINYL Legwarmers
im thinking theyre just one long piece of vynil, with a 'kneecap' bit popped on the top and an extra red bit on the bottom to cover her boots, with the ties on the sides of the long bit to wrap around the leg... if that makes any sense at all? lol
thats how i would make them anyway
they dont look too difficult to do, maybe experiment with some stiff cotton before splashing out on the vynil/pvc

Sorry, I can't really help but...
Wow, what an awesome picture!
A bit surrealist, isn't it? Love the outfit as well.

Re: PVC/VINYL Legwarmers
To me it looks like a base sheet of pvc has been cut and contrasting colours have been stitched on to add the extra flap on the bottom too... and they have been loosley wrapped around and tied with the rope.
I think you can find plenty of tutorials for leg warmers out there, maybe not exactally the same as them, but instead of using cotton, fleece ETC jut use vinyl or PVC.

As amazing as Takuya Angel looks, the quality is sub-standard

also-I do think that Sophrodisiac already knew where you could purchase the leg-warmers but as they are so expensive she really didnt want to! hence the tutorial request lol

Alot of Takuya Angel merch is pretty simple to make if you know what to do.
Ayumi's legwarmers look like two pieces of PVC with rope wrapped around them and the knee-cap piece, as stated before
If you are going to use a sewing machine, get a Teflon Foot attachment! I made a PVC kimono without one with my mother, and it was HELL! Teflon foots make your life so much easier
