WANTED: Skin Bleaching Tut with Home-made Recipes

I'm in dying need for someone to share their home-made skin bleaching recipes and techniques. I have come across some recipes already, but would rather have someone with experience to share their knowledge, than me concocting some slime that could burn my skin straight off my body :s eep

Any one? please!?

I haven't ever done it ,
but I did some reading on it when there was an article in the paper on it,
please just be very careful!
There's alot of things that can go wrong, and some chemicals can result in illnesses like cancer down the road!
**Stops worried ranting**

No personal experience here, but I've had this link bookmarked for soooo long. All of the recipes look legitimate and safe.

Thanks people! ^^

Obviously I'm going to be very warey of dodgy looking recipes ;P hence avoiding internet based searches *anyone weirdo can post anything and claim it to work :s*

I actually found a pot of skin brightener today in Boots! :D
-Skin Doctors 'fade away' lotion.
Will be trying it out over the next few weeks to see if it works *fingers crossed*

I remember seeing something a while ago which involved lemons.

Also if you have a look in some Afro Caribbean shops from what I remember they have some skin lightening creams. It was in a hair shop :]

Let me know what you find!!

In regards to using lemons as a skin lightener I've heard the best time to use them is in a shower, before using any sort of body wash. Rub the lemon into the areas you want lightened and then use a scrunchie and body wash to remove it. Never use lemons and then go out into the sun, you can end up with severe sunburn.

yes this is true..citrus increases photo sensitivity... it actually applies to EO's too..so if you make a lotion or a perfume or something with any type of actual citrus essential oils you have to be careful in the sun! crazy!

My mum had a really dark brown 'smudge' near her hairline which has faded to barely visible on her olive skin after using that stuff for a few months, and as far as she knows there have been no weird side effects.

Any idea how much it cost her? Sounds interesting :)

Try to not use any products using hydroquine, look it up it's really bad for you and your skin! And also mercury XD
For a homemade recipe, try using milk + yogurt + lemon mask. If your interested I can give you the specifics needed to make it.

forgive my ignorance but why do people bleach their skin? I didnt know ppl did this-is it for the look of lighter skin in general or to fix "patches"?? Honest curiosity only :i2:

I did it because I think I look better paler, but I've only done a few treatments before... So it didn't really work effectively so I just wore sunscreen all the time :i2:
Also my skin tone is really blotchy so I tried to improve that with bleaching but that didn't work :(
I guess it's the same as why people get fake tans, they think it makes them look better :D

Yes please!

And in response to why people do it: I'm sick of my face and arms and the rest of my body being two completely different shades.

I'm naturally pale but I tan so easily, especially on my face, arms and knees, it looks quite odd!

I have found this: http://www.godivaskincare.com/store/home.php
It's meant to be more effective than hydroquinone. Has anyone tried this or something similar?

Nenedhel - I'm interested :D

I have about 16 different recipes but the one I use is a bit strong to put on here and may concern people so I will use the next best one;

1 tb milk (opt)
1tb glycerin
1tb lemon juice

mix them together and apply to area for about 10-15 minutes and rinse off

do that one/twice a week then

mix together
1/2pint new milk
1/4 ounce of lemon juice
1/2 ounce of white brandy

boil and skim it. Apply this to area every night and morning

if this doesn't work (bare in mind it wont be instantantious) them please pm me and I will give you another recipe.

Hope this helps girls
