grease =/

Post by beccah » Sat Dec 20, 2008 9:18 pm

I work at a certain fast food restaurant on Saturdays, and the grease all gets onto my face and the warmth makes my porestake it in. However the only cleanser I've found so far which gets all the yuckystuff off has the unpleasant side effect of making my skin red,even if I moisturise well,,for at least three days,because my skin isreally sensitive. So if i dont wash it with the cleanser Ive found,I get horrible spots,if I do,I get redskin.
Can anyone recommend a REALLY grease clearing cleanser which also is gentle?

I've had success with Neutrogena Soap, the original un-perfumed kind.

I second Neutrogena. I've been using one formula or another of theirs for probably 15 years. When I was younger the amber colored transparent bar thing was really good. Now I use the deep clean but that might be too harsh for you.

I have used Pear's transparent soap and I thought it was really good. So if you can't find Neutrogena try that, it only costs about 2 quid for a bar.

Herbalism from Lush.
It really cuts the grease, exfoliates too but ensures the skin stays calm and unagitated.
and natural which is always good :)

i work in greggs and the ovens create a similar problem, superdrugs own brand vitamin E face wipes are really gentle and cleansing, plus cheap so you can afford to give your face a quick wipe every now and then under the pretence of going to the toilet or wherever
and they smell nice
