I want to have my make-up different for a change, i normally have the black eyeliner like a 'cats eye' but want to try something different cause im goin to my friends 21st birthday on saturday
I want the smokey eyes look but everytime i use eyeshadow thats dark it always ends up creasing and coming up (dam my oily skin) lol
so any tips you can give me like shades to use, make-up brands that work well and will stay on all evening please don't suggest mac as i doubt it would come in time for saturday as i'd have to order it of their website, i buy my make-up from Boots so a make-up brand from there please
Also what tinted moisturiser is a good one to use that isn't over priced but works and lastly, i want a nice lip colour to match my make-up i think i may go for either a lip stain? with some lipgloss over the top of it? because i think lipstick will just look too much, so what shade should i go for in a lip stain or lip gloss.

EDIT: Also anthnk i can use to cover up dark circles for underneath my eyes (loads of late nights)

Not sure what Boots is or what brands are available there...

Urban Decay Primer Potion or Too Faced Shadow Insurance work well for keeping eyeshadow in place - I have oily lids too and use the Too Faced one, which works quite well.
Nars eyeshadows tend to stay put pretty well, as do most Too Faced products.
If you don't want to buy a primer, use pressed powder on your lids - NOT foundation as it is oil based and won't help.
With lips if you're going for a smokey eye, try to keep lips nude or neutral - go a soft pink or just a clear gloss, unless it's a really dressy black tie birthday, then you can do whatever the hell you like. Lipstains are good if they aren't too dark, coz that colour does not come off no matter how hard you scrub.

For under eye circles, I wear Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation, and it covers my bags perfectly. For a more budget savvy option, I think Maybeline make a good yellow corrective concealor, which worn under your usual foundation will help hide bags. When doing a smokey eye Draw attention away from dark circles by only applying eyeshadow to your upper lid and the outer 1/4 or 1/3 of your eye, which also make your eye look longer.

I actually use Maybelline Dream Matte Mouse as my concealer after I put on my mineral foundation, so you might try using a foundation if you haven't had a good experience with anything else as far as circles go.

When it comes to a smokey eye, one easyish way to go about it is to put a heavy line of soft eyeliner on the upperlid and smudge it/blend it out with your finger. It'd stay put better than a cream eyeshadow/stick eyeshadow and it's pretty easy. It's what I do when I don't have any eyeshadow or time to do a fairly complicated look.
