dry shampoo in real dreads
Does any one use dry shampoo spray (Like Rockaholic/TIGI) to keep their dreads/scalp clean? I'm interested in hearing how it works for anyone that uses it.

I use it occasionally ( though I don't have dreads) it works like talc, it soaks up grease to give your hair a little lease of life, I am pretty sure it doesn't actually clean your hair.
hope that helps some!

-Nods- Dry shampoo doesn't clean your dreads, it just soaks up the grease for perhaps a day. I wouldn't use it for solely cleaning your dreads, as after a while you may get some nasty build up :/

id imagine, seeing as dry shampoo needs to be combed through, it would end up being quite itchy

Re: dry shampoo in real dreads
I've used dry shampoo once to clean my scalp, but not the dreads. The type I use doesn't need to be brushed through or anything, just rubbed into the scalp, left in for a minute, and than use a towl and sort of rub out.
I get it from Sallys, though I can never remember the name. Herbal something. It's a purple gel.
