Is that tape? If it is tape that scares me a bit:)
From what I can see you need more backcombing at the roots. Caucasian hair, blond being the finest, needs a lot of attention to the roots and much crocheting to get a good start.

And don't use wax. Just my opinion:)

Dreads really suit you, they will just get better and better as they mature, and you have lovely hair to start with. :i2:

We have lots of tutorials on dreads, check some out. It does look like electrical tape... string would be a better option :)

I have to say, I am intrigued by the tape. Is it there for decoration? If so, I would honestly recommend that you remove it; natural dreads need time to establish and lock and any embellishments can inhibit that and warp them.

I think dreads will look great on you in the end but these would grow best if you were to have another good go at the back-combing. Dreads compact in, and then they pull up on themselves as they lock together. Any weak spots where the hair is not so well backcombed will show as loops once they are established, and I feel you may end up with lots.

I know you are happy with them and hope you are not disheartened; we go for honesty here and my honest opinion is that they could look great.
Welcome to the board. :)
What, that? It's a spade.

O_o I really like them!!! The tape scared me, as does people tying them with elastics.

I'm jealous though, my dream hair is long yummy REAL dreads!

your dreads are going to be massive once they mature
they will grow to be the size of your sections once they felt up
great start tho have fun with your dread journey it gets interesting!

The later picture is really great! I was a bit worried at first sight of your post, but it looks like you've sorted them really well ;)
