I want a new color.

I've had blonde hair, pink hair, and fire hair before. Now I'm back at my dark natural color. I'm going to let it rest for a while, probably until the end of the year, before I bleach it again and get a new color popping.



Here is a picture of me au naturale. No makeup, so you can see my skin tone well. Granted, this photo can only represent my color so well. I'd say I'm a shade or two darker than this.

I was thinking of going orange, because it's a fun, out-of-the-box color. I've had Atomic Pink hair three times in the past, so I think I will put that on hold for another year.
So, would orange look okay on me? If not, please suggest other colors that you think would suit me. Even photoshopping my hair would be greatly appreciated. ;D

I'm not a fan of loud hair styles/colors. I like natural colors most of the time. I think some very subtle highlights in dark brown would suite you very nicely =)

OR

You could always bleach the bottom layers of your hair, and color the sections underneath. I don't know how to accurately explain this, but a friend of mine had bleached her hair, and dyed her hair into horizontal layers.

Her hair was natural dark brown at the top, brown, burgundy, red, honey blonde, and then finally platinum blonde at the bottom. I know it took a lot of work, but she had cool hair.

I understand, and I've done that before, but I have natural dreadlocks on the underlayer of my hair (which I should have mentioned!) and I'd prefer not to touch them.

Ohh neon orange would look awesome! I am jealous, I have been fantasizing about dying my hair the color of a traffic cone for the past few months, but I can't because of my dumb job. Also, any shade of blue would look really nice on you as well. With your coloring, you could probably pull off pretty much any color.

Thank you! Because I'm slightly sunkissed tanned, I always thought blue wouldn't look good on me. But it's one of my favourite colors, maybe I'll go ahead with it. Thanks!

I actually think that because you are quite tanned orange may not be the best colour for you.

I was thinking blue too, maybe a turquoise blue? I think that would really suit you

MissA- Aw, darn! I love orange ): Well, I should be getting an orange wig in the mail soon, and I'll try it on to see how orange fares on my skin color. I like the sound of the turquoise. Like, something similar to the shade that SFX Fishbowl is supposed to emulate. Supposed to, because it never does. I've never met one person who got it to work correctly. lol

My mate went fishbowl, it went gray after one wash, that was on almost white hair to. She had better look with directions, that looked gray in the tube, but was almost an exact match for buyhairs fantasy turquoise.

Directions has lovely colors. So does Punky. They're less commonly used in comparison to SFX, but I've been impressed with results from both. I dont' know what it is about Fishbowl. It always turned out green on me, or if we were lucky, TEAL on someone, but it quickly faded to green. And this was on uberbleached hair.

I also agree on the blue, I think you would look beautiful with turquoise or teal coloured hair. Also, I think a pale lilac purple (similar to Buyhair's lavender perhaps?) would look lovely on you! You can pull of pretty much any colour I reckon.

OOooooooooooooh and maybe bright pink with orange streaks? That would be quite fun!

mine has gone a greeny colour, but a very aqua blue in other parts! I only have a section of it in my fringe which was bleached before hand.
