So I let me hairdresser talk me into putting black stripes in my freshly bleached almost-white hair. Well, I don't like it. I regret letting her do it.
I can live with the racing stripe she did from my forehead to the back of my left ear. That's where the weird criss-cross stripes start. The black dye has bled pretty badly creating a muddy green/grey/blue, and the stripes aren't very even or straight. This is not my vibe at all. OMG, can I fix this?
I'm thinking of trying a color remover/corrector. Can my hair take it? It's really short at the back, about 1/4" long, and pretty healthy. I want to see if I can just remove some of the stripy-ness and maybe get it back to white??
Will a gentle color remover do this? Which one? Will I have to bleach as well?
fingers crossed....

I'd go back to the hairdresser personally.

Yah, I would, but there probably isn't time. We are both going to burning man on the weekend. I think she may be leaving as soon as Friday.

With my experience, color removers are more damaging than bleach. I would bleach then put a violet toner over top.

Thanks girls! I totally took your advice and went back to her. She made an emergency appointment for me and got it back to a lovely white with bleach. I gues I could still try a toner, as there's still just a little trace of yellow lines, but it looks much better! I'm not even mad at her any more
