Love the pumpkins; nice work! We were going to get some to carve, but unfortunately hurricane Sandy threw a wrench in those plans :(

Been working on these for the last few weeks. They are Steel Nordic Gauntlets from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyim made of real steel and hand dyed leather.

My friend's new baby inspired me to try making quilts. After doing all the relevant research I have to say I was happy with my first baby quilt, it's not perfect but mummy & baby seem to love it and that's what matters.

Buzzing because of my first time success and wanting to give some xmas presents that actually meant something to the recipient, I decided to make a quilt for my sister. I wish I'd started it earlier than I did. I had some intensive cutting out & sewing days and sewing the binding by hand gave my hand a few aches and pains by the end. I can totally sympathize with you dread makers. Anyway, the result was again not perfect but I love it and I actually impressed my dad (which is a feat). It is so warm and snuggly, the top is a patchwork of different animal print, the bottom is just the giraffe pattern.

They take literally 2 minutes to make....cream butter and sugar and then add flour. Piece of piss.

They're nearly all gone already

:D Thank you.
I can only give you a rough estimate to cost because all the panels on the front were cut offs that I had left over, including the brown silky 2" strips. But the size was roughly 215cm x 180cm and the animal fabric costs £5.95per metre. I bought 4 metres of the giraffe fabric for the back and spent £4.50 on wadding for the middle (from Dunelm Mill). The binding was again, some black soft thickish cotton I have in ready for a dress I am going to get around to making....
It's well worth the time you spend on it, good luck with yours, I definately say go and make one :D
