Normally on-line Liz, from 3 different sellers on ebay mostly: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/infashionfabrics, http://stores.ebay.co.uk/thewonderfulworldoffabrics & http://stores.ebay.co.uk/minervacraftsandfabrics

The second one is where I got the fabric from for the collar top & basque. You can normally find the odd bargain in Boyes too if you have one locally.

Thanks Ladies - I'd hate to think how many hours I've poured in to those two items.....I've been off work for 7 days & started them on my first day off. I'm glad my grafting shows! :D

Thanks. I'm half decent with a sewing machine, I've just never made anything without a pattern...unless it was a lined bag or something, but they're a piece of piss.

You can normally acquire free patterns on line - great if you have access to a printer. I originally cut the seams out of a top & used the parts as a template for other things. I had some failures & some pretty awesome wins :D

Loving that bike.

I've been busy on a few wings lately, this is for new baby niece, obviously too young to wear wings so they hang on a wall
Image

These for my niece who adores purple
Image

Didn't get chance to take any good photos of these as had to get them sent out, pair of ivory flower girl wings
Image

Purple, black & rose wings made for my friends forthcoming hen weekend at Tatton Park, she doesn't know about them yet :D
Image

And finally, black feather wings for an 'angry bird' costume for Beatherder festival

These are for a swordsman at the Bram Stoker Festival. They're my most "perfect" pair of gloves to date.

I made a glove the other day, practising the fishnet stitch:

I've been burning myself out on all the orders from my shops (it's all the same stuff) so I decided to try some new stuff. With winter on our doorsteps, I figured more hats would be good. I just started watching Once Upon A Time, so I did one of the hats that Emma Swan wears in one of the first season episodes. I didn't have the right gray, but this was just a prototype, so no biggie.

Image

This is the hat it's fashioned after:

And I also decided to try the Bella hat from Twilight. Again, wrong color.

Image

And the hat from the film:

Wutcha think?
