I'll start. Current nails, very simple


White H&M polish.
Top coat.

Old NOTD

Green : Depend Mini polish 196
Glitter: Viva La Diva holografic glitter.

Ooooh fancy =) They look awesome so neat too. I wish I had long nails......... but thats a no no consridering I do karate. That could be painful. Ha ha. Oh well xx

Are toenails okay too? I work with my hands, so finger polish is out.

Sorry for the HORRIBLE picture. Hopefully you can make out some of the detail. They are covered in donuts, chocolate bars, ice cream, hearts and rhinestones. There's A LOT of stuff crammed on my nails lol.

Never tried the sponge thingie. Looks really cool and relativly simple to do. Like Like...

black and silver looks awesome. I watched a tutorial the other day using a sponge so may try it soon.

I usually use shimmery polishes that aren't very thick as the second color. It gives much better results. Thicker polishes tend to bubble up =/

Thank you. Thanks for the tip, I will try that. The yellow polish was vey thick, but the result wasn't so bad anyway. It was fun to do.

Second attempt at sponge thingie... Used 3 polishes, 1 pink and 2 red, and then glitter on top.

My boyfriend gave me these tiny cog decals in my Christmas stocking and I figured I would give them a bash for our NYE plans.

Unfortunately the base shade I used is crap (China Glaze Platinum) and takes around four coats to achieve any opacity but it was the palest grey in my selection. In future I think a shade without shimmer would work better as a base too as the blank spaces between the cog spokes are mattified slightly. Nails Inc The Southbank is on my wishlist anyway and would probably be the perfect shade to use. Any recs on other good quality creme pale greys welcomed!

That's really cool! I like it with the shimmer, but I want to see more, so you have to showoff with another basepolish too...
