Long enough time to develop different techniques..

Forum rules
If it is fake hair related it goes in here!
1) Nice clear pic of the hair- we are not particularly interested in cam whoring - you want to show yourself off - put it in the gallery for 'everything else'.
2) When commenting - please be more OT than "wow you are freakin' hot!" We all like to be told we are hot mamma's - but mention the hair too!
3) Please don't be horrified if people give you helpful criticism. If you give criticism, please do so respectfully.
4) If you would like to NOT hear criticism, please say so.
5) If you are specifically looking to refine your technique, please post it in the "Critique" section (under Advice & Know How) so we can help be extra picky. ;)
6) The Show Off section is only for showing off hair, not making sales. Please make no references to eBay, A and P, or any kind of sales. You may offer the same item for sale in A and P, but no cross linking between A and P and Show Off. Show Off should be a place to comment and encourage each other; we don't want Show Off to become a billboard for sellers.

Long enough time to develop different techniques..

Post by Redpepper » Mon Apr 21, 2014 3:57 pm

I've made dreads for about 14 years under several different names but recently I finally decided to set up some sort of social media and I've had a lot of interest, which has been delightful!

Due to the influx of orders I started to have the chance to have a little play around with techniques. I have always been a steamed dread girl, since about 2001, but I decided to give the boiled dread a go when I wanted something a little more natural/organic looking and I was super pleased with the results. The dreads have come out firm, consistent, neat and messy at the same time and it makes it so much easier not having to take up the whole living room and filling it full of steam.

Anyway, due to being chuffed I thought I'd share. :) Hope you like them. I hope to put up more of the work I've been thrashing out very soon. :)

I like the bits of red peeking through.

I bet these will look even better after using them for a while... ^^
The color is more natural so I think some "living" would compliment them.
