I love all these kitty cat pictures =D. I need to find one of my fuzzball so I can show him off.

I'm curious- do any of you have cats that still suckle on things? My cat is almost 6 and he does it all the time.

I think suckling post weaning age is quite common in cats who were taken away from their mother too early.

Ahh that would fit. We found him in a parking lot when he was just a tiny thing. Thanks for the answer, I've been wondering about it lately. :D

Beautiful picture Joi :D

Agree about the suckling thing. It's not bad for him or anything, as long as he isn't suckling on dirty or poisionous stuff :) It helps cats to relax more, and you shouldn't bother him while he's doing it. You can cuddle him though. But don't pick him up.

I'm at uni, when I moved up here my friends mum looked after him, then we fell out and she started being...not very nice and so I had to find him a new home, a permanent one :( he's happy, and I know he's being treated well so that's all that matters :)

So this is Abby. Chris and I adopted her from someone at uni who needed to rehome her (her brother and sister are much bigger than her and they pick on her) She's half Persian and she's fairly timid and skittish. We had a drama with her when she disappeared behind the kitchen counters and then couldn't be found for HOURS until I opened a drawer and she'd crawled up inside it and gone to sleep! Anyway, since then we've set up a room for her out the back and over the last 18 hours she's gotten bolder and bolder. She's not even hiding when we come in anymore.

On the way to her new home:

Oh, did I mention she's STUNNING!!

After we retrieved her from the back of the cupboards, still very scaredy, hiding:

She then decided this corner was her safest place:

But with a lot of coaxing and fuss she's gotten a lot more confident :) She's sleeping in the bed we set up for her and she's eaten and used her litter tray (thank God, she's litter trained!) She's still quite skittish and sudden noises/movements send her running but she's such a lovely sweet cat.

I am so happy to have her!!

Ohhh he is so handsome. Do you have any tips re:grooming? She has a few small matts forming on her sides towards the back.
