Just finished Jodie Picoult- Second glance & Change of heart. Just started My sisters keeper. I haven't seen the film so I thought I'd give the book a go. Would HIGHLY reccomend Second glance, I cried every night when i was reading it haha. Such a beautiful book.

Dear God Madi, you're not going to top yourself over the absurdity of the human condition, are you? Camus is a gateway drug to existential nihilism.

Camus is amazing.
I'm reading Gothic Feminism by Diane Long Hoeveler, it's mostly for leisure but also has a few chapters that will help with an essay I'm writing.

Sounds interesting.

I finished "Graceling" last night. It was Kristen Cashores first book and i'd already read the second one "Fire" and loved it. I think I loved this even more though. Such a better story and so many more twists. I gasped out loud several times and cried as well >.< (glad I didnt finish reading it on the bus, lol)

My family and I went to see a live interactive enactment based on The Difference Engine a while ago, in the old and usually closed parts of Manchester town hall. It was amazing.

It's worth saying again that I get as much out of my 8 year old's bedtime stories as my own reading just now. We are taking a little break from Narnia and currently reading How to Train Your Dragon by Cressida Cowell. We had seen the movie and loved it but the book is so much better. Only the names bear any real resemblance to the film though; this is one of a collection which I suspect have been combined to make up the film.

I'm attempting to re-read all the Harry Potter books before the last film comes out, currently halfway through Chamber of Secrets.

I'm not into the harry potter films but randomly decided to ask my boyfriend to download them, he got the 6th and I cried almost as much as I cried reading the book. I do want to reread them all now and see the last one but I'm scared they will ruin it all, that's why I've put off watching any of them for so long.

I know a lot of people who slate Dan Brown but I quite enjoyed all his books.

I just finished reading Aldous Huxley 'Island', and before that i read 'Walden Two' by BF Skinner- was surprised by a happy ending ;)

Atm I'm reading Watership Down, then i'll continue reading Aldous Huxleys 'The doors of perception : And Heaven and Hell.

Any suggestions for after that? :)

Have you read Aldous Huxley's Brave New World? It's mind-blowing.

Just finished reading the Sword of Truth series. So good.

My room mate keeps hounding me to read the Wheel of Time series, he's told me so much about it with so much excitement, I really want to, I just haven't gotten to it yet....?

It's either I start that or start reading Game of Thrones.

I want to read Clive Barkers books, but they're so damn hard to find!

Yup- I love that book so much :D I'd say 'Island' is equally good- same sort of story line set in a different time/place :)
