The OH's mum lent me some books, and when I google'd them it turns out they're the True Blue books. I was a bit dubious at first because I saw the first episode of the series and wasn't too keen but I've really enjoyed the books I've read so far. On perhaps book 5? 6?

I'm not sure what on you mean so here's a review of both :p

Sulphuric was so-so.

The Girl.. is part of the Millenium Trilogy which is one of the best series of books that I have ever read, they're brilliant. This one is a bit heavy to begin with but stick with it and it really picks up. The second is the best one in my opinion and the third is also excellent but like the first, takes a while to get going. Definitely read the books before watching any of the films too.

I've been suckered into reading 'Day of the Dragon' by Richard A. Knaak. It's a Warcraft book. Ah well! I am also reading 'To Ride Pegasus' by Anne McCaffrey, as she is my favorite author and her books are stunning. Other than that, 'House of M', 'Cable', and 'Messiah Complex' which are comics, but of course. Uh...oh and reading 'Blood of the Fold' by Terry Goodkind. Yayz for books. I really am in need of new literature. @.@

I just finished No Mercy by Lisa Jackson and just started reading The 9th Judgement by none other than James Patterson. It is so awesome that I started it Monday night and I am half way through it.

I finished Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K. Hamilton, which is the first book in the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series. I wasn't impressed. I've heard good things about these books and there are tons of them in the series, but I was kind of disappointed. I'll read a few more to see if it gets any better though.

I also read Bitten by Kelley Armstrong, which is the first book in the Women of the Otherworld series. I liked it. I just started Frostbitten, which is the tenth book in the series, but has the same characters from the first book. I wanted to read Stolen, which is the second one, but my library doesn't have it (and I really think it should be read before Frostbitten because there is obviously a chunk of their story missing).

I've just started this. Just finished 'The Night Stalker' about Richard Ramirez.

Got a few more new books to start, and the 4th True Blood one!

It may be a bit cliched but Im in the middle of Anne Rice's Queen Of The Damned and I literally love it! Its so beautifully written and Im a sucker for good description passages. Interview With the Vampire was a little dull I thought though. Has anyone read her books past QOTD? Im really hoping they dont fizzle out, though I dont think they will...

I've read The Vampire Armand. It was quite good :) Took a while to get used to the homosexual-ness ( I didn't know Armand was gay)

On the last book of the mortal instruments triology by cassandra clare.
Good, a bit teeny fantasy but pretty original.

read the first and half of the second book of the vampire diaries series and had to stop. they where just soo bad. i very very rarely not finish books but they where really appaling - none of the characters where relatable/made you like them so I didnt really care about any of them and so the story didnt matter..

I am reading:
-The politics of Climate Change (which as it sounds is quite heavy going)

and for lighter times:
-Tea Time for the Traditionally Built, which is one of the No1 Ladies' Detective Agency series
telling it like it is!

Just started The Passage-Justin Cronin. I saw a review that described it as The Stand without the religious stuff and it has vampires. This sold me on it. So far so good.

Anyways, weeks later my bestie shows up on my door with every story in the giant picture book, that she found at a 2nd hand book fair .. I was sooo excited...
So now Ive read several storys and i'm up to King Henry & the Frog. I love love love these weird fairy tales. :i2:

I'm reading a novel called Devotion by Nell Leyshon, who I was very lucky to have been taught by in the late 90's and who I am now honoured to call my friend. She is a playwright and author, an d this is her second novel.

I am also revisiting one of my favourite books from my childhood; Mrs frisby and the Rats of Nimh by Robert C O'Brien. I am reading it to my daughter a chapter a night and she is loving it. I keep finding myself reading on to myself once her chapter is done. One of the finest parts of being a parent is being able to light up their childhood with things like books.
What, that? It's a spade.

Im reading the illustrated man by Ray Bradbury at the mo. Its lots of short stories about the future, but because it was writen so long ago - in the 70s - it makes it a really interesting book. Its almost like a social commentary on the issues of the day way back when, but because its more of a kids / young adults book and its sci-fi, its not dry at all. Two thumbs up :D

If I can get hold of it I think Im gonna read house of leaves by Mark Z Danielewski next

Currently trying to get through IT by Stephen King.

It's a nice classic, but it frightens me after watching IT as a kid.
