I'm after a bit of advice on weight loss.
I've been trying to lose weight for a long time, and although I'm doing everything right, nothing seems to be working. I eat healthily, I don't deny myself the odd treat, but I don't eat alot of junk at all. I also go to the gym 6 days a week and do a mixture of cardio and weight training, with a couple of dance classes thrown in for flexibility. However, even though I've been doing this for the last three months, I haven't lost any weight or gone down any dress sizes yet. I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong!
The only thing I can think of is that I've been extremely stressed at work for the last 4-5 months, to the point where I've now actually been signed off with stress because it's been making me ill. Would I be right in suspecting that the stress is interfering with me being able to lose weight? I know stress produces cortisol, which causes the body to hang on to fat, particularly around the stomach, so could this be the issue?
PM me with any replies.
