It's crazy putting voices to faces! I'd do one but it would sound well too weird.

& this one is for Liz.....I told him what you said about "boro pat" he wasn't impressed:

he's had to tone his accent down a lot, as no one down here could understand him. I too, used to just nod at him when I first met him cos I didn't have a clue what he was going on about.

I'm from Coventry (and anybody from Coventry will catagorically deny sounding anything like a Brummie) however I work in Birmingham and lived in Dudley for 2 years... for some reason I picked up the 'days' (I day'nt do it / I didn't do it) and the 'ays' (I ay got one / I haven't got one) from them and I can't for the life of me shake it. However, this is my west midlands accent, I don't know how Brummie it really sounds:

It's a bit of an odd one isn't it! Not quite sharp enough to be cockney, but not quite neutral.

Aww, I wish I had a mic so I could do this too :(

My accent gets a lot of interest, being something of a hybrid; part South Wales Valleys, part North Wales, with an apparent slight northwest of England inflection. A lot of people think I'm English, and I've been accused of faking or exaggerating a Welsh accent. A few people have thought I was Scottish too, which is strange as I've never been there before or been subjected to Scottish accents much :|

How much is a mic for the computer then? I'd probably end up using my 'phone voice' through being nervous, which some people think is rather posh

Yeah nah you do sound like you're a bit Kiwi aye ( <Thats my accent haha). Its not so much your accent, but more the words/phrases you use. Like 'sup', 'umm', ' but, yeah...'.

DreadstarMonstar + partner, your accents are both awesome as. Actually, trying to imagine you guys having a conversation with each other makes me lolz a bit :D ahhh we don't get to hear many accents like that down here......

My accent is quite common! It's only the high pitch of it what makes it sound cute!

I absolutely love this thread! I think I had only heard a couple of peoples voices on here through youtube vid's. Rivet's tute video (obviously!) and IPA's derby video. It's funny how I struggle to remember that we don't all speak with the same accent. I was surprised to hear your voice IPA. Like I'd forgotten you were from Belfast. There are a lot of you brit's that say 'AHsk' where as I would say AARsk' and there are a lot of chavvy kids that now say 'ARKs'. I think they're just trying to sound a bit gangsta. I will do one of these.. when I work out how to upload from my phone.
