Progress from August to March (with a 5 month gap)

Post by CurlUpAndDye » Fri Mar 08, 2013 10:47 pm

It's been 5 months since I made dreads and decided I wanted to try my hand at transitionals :) The first few I made were either way too fat and tapered off to quickly or I used too much fibre but by the last 4 or 5 I had managed to get them looking a lot better, they are wearable but I want to know if you can see anything that should be changed about them? :) I've added a few of the first ones I ever made, for comical purposes. You can't really tell from these pictures but I'm pretty sure these are the worst dreads ever made! Not nearly as good as some of the first timers I've seen on here :)

From the pictures it looks like the blonde isn't as backcombed as they should be but the colors are great!
What method did you use for the transitional?
I also would suggest maybe a tighter method for your loops? I prefer a tight loop but that's just me.
:) hope I helped.

I agree they do look like they might do with some more backcombing. It almost looks like your loops were neater in your earlier attempts? I really like the white/blue/green color combos you have going on though :)
