First "natural" sort of...

Post by zombiejunkyard » Sat Aug 25, 2012 10:53 pm

Okay so I've been dying to make a set of naturals, I had a little yellow left over from like a billion years ago. I watched several tutorials and I decided to try out Merry's Synthetic Dreads method because I like the knottiness I guess, and I'm not really sure how I feel about how this one turned out. I mean obviously it's the only one I've done so far. I didn't have a crochet hook so I used a felting needle. I don't mind that it turned out kinda fuzzy. I guess I just want some opinions and constructive criticism?

This is the body of the dread (captain obvious, right?)

And this is the end. In the video it didn't show how to finish up the end so I was just kinda wingin' it.

I think it looks ok! Most people keep their ends whispy on crocheted dreads, but I like the taper you've done too! Well done x

Thank you. I guess I'll start working on a whole set then.

Have you sealed this or is it only felting?
