Attempt at naturals - pictures

Post by Sugarfalls » Tue Aug 30, 2011 9:45 am

So here we are.. not sure if it's me but I always feel like naturals need to be backcombed till the extreme. Here's a pic of it before sealing and one after will appear shortly after i finish getting ready for a job interview. What do you think? Any advice at handling naturals would be very appreciated!

They look great! I'd say see how they wear to determine if they've been done up well enough.

So I actually just finished quite a new dreads in the natural style and these looks just fine. :) Really. I used the method Rivetlicker has shown in her tut video for natural styled dreads by backcombing as normal, dipping in boiling water and palm rolling. I did that a few times until satisfied. I also tried sealing with my teapot (like I normally do with regular dreads) but I didn't twist, just kinda ran it through the steam very quickly a few times. Both results have worked beautifully and I hope you're happy with what you've created. :D I hope to see them in.
