Re: My first Dread ever... help
This looks good for your first try, what are you using to seal?

Re: My first Dread ever... help
I just steam them .. and tried to do the end with a flatting iron but that was a bad ideal

the colour combination is lovely and i think your doing well, maybe work on the sealing more than the back combing as i think you have the back combing covered.

Re: My first Dread ever... what do you think?
Are you just applying the flat iron straight to the dread? that could be why the end got burnt off. Try using a damp cloth/lower heat setting. =]

That second dread looks great, in fact the end looks perfectly fine to me.

Re: My first Dread ever... what do you think?
Love the blend, and they look very good for a first try. I used to do the wet cloth/flat iron for the ends but it's a bit fiddly and I don't care for scratchy ends. Try steaming them, use a pair of needle nose pliers or something similar so you dont burn your fingers and while steaming GENTLY pull the pliers towards your body. Keep an eye on it, you can watch the hair stretch under the steam, if you pull too hard the hair may thin and break, but you can get really nice tapered ends that don't unravel. Hope this helps a little
I'd say once you've made a bit more your going to have a really gorgeous set of dreads, so keep at it!

Actually, having a closer look at it on the computer (over the iphone), it is hair. NVM!poxabomination wrote:was waiting for this <3 is it elastic though?
