first set of long skinny dreads

Post by Smoo » Tue Jan 18, 2011 10:32 pm

The pink looks a bit more orangey than anticipated, but here goes.

Blonde, Pink, neon purple to be used as falls. Let me know what you guys think, my other dreads were a bit shorter and more chunkey. These still need another seal, but I would like opinions so far :)

Pics of ends & loops (assuming they're SE's) would be nice :D

The pictures make the looks look really quite large, they barely squeeze 1cm elastic through ( have to fold it over and use brute force and ignorance :P)

Anyhoo, Ends before they get their final seal

Just realised the pictures get cut off in the post, but if you paste the pictures url it works fines :)

Mine don't but I have a different format to view the forum.

They look good, I think they need more backcombing though. I've read on here a few times people backcomb, seal, then backcomb again & seal again. Might be an idea??

Good colour combo! :D

They feel quite solid, I'm doing another thin set at the moment aswell so hopefully it will turn out better. I'm pretty proud of these for my first skinny ones, though I think I'll still to chunky ones for my own sanity. Have my first wig on the go aswell, fingers crossed that it doesn't end up in the bin, it's going (semi) well so far, will try get pictures of the next set of dreads and wig up this week if i finish them!

Thanks for the feedback :)

I can't seem to get the hang of it with thinner ones, I tried to go for it but then lost length and they ended up chunky at the top and a bit 'whippy' at the bottom. Trial and error, have about 20 bags of hair here waiting to be used, so I have plenty to practice on :P
