foo foo pink , and others to come

Post by otherphoenix » Wed Dec 08, 2010 10:37 pm

I was going to wait until I'd taken photos of the other dreads I wanted CC with, but already had these photos on the computer so I thought I'd make a start.

It was a kind of foo foo fairy floss /cyber wig for burning man just passed.. I've since taken it apart to rescue and reuse/restyle the pink dreads.

It was a really cheap wig as I knew it would get trashed, but also my first wig.. so yes.

The baby pinks were mostly unsteamed just palm rolled.. the dark pinks were steamed lightly at the top and hard at the ends to give them a poofy but whippy look.. the rest is glitter rex, sequins, beads, duct tape, junk etc etc. The front was left plain with short bangs.

also.. it is sitting on a pale purple fluffy cushion.. that is no one's head and not part of the wig. hehe.

any comments appreciated. :i2:

I personally think the light pink fluff dreads should be backcombed and palm rolled a tad more, but otherwise it's ace!

i agree with the additional palm rolling/back combing. its nice but that would give it a little more volume and oomphh i believe :)

What a fun piece! I would say the dreads look like they could be a bit more solid.

Love. More more more.
Reminds me of beautiful(but poisonous:) giant jellyfish.
