Keeping Rexlace Curly

Post by SyNNy+SuKKupyre » Mon Aug 10, 2009 11:21 am

So I was given 3 new rolls of rexlace and I have been slowly adding some extensions of rexlace to my orange/white KK falls.

I have been curling the rexlace properly but find that its hard to get them off the mop handle :(

as well they don't seem to be staying curly now that i have attached them to the falls.
They keep like one or two ringlets but thats all :(

Help!

*Edit*
Whooopzi i thought this pic had the simple strands in it :i10: I was wrong I will try to post a more current pic of them.

I am kinda waiting on answers because I havent un coiled the 2 nd batch in case its something obvious like "Just pour some more hot water over them"

Wait, HAVE you been pouring boiling water over them?

Try to use a metal or plastic pole/tube to wrap the rexlace over because it seems like wood would stick more.

Then once the rexlace is wrapped on the tube/pipe, pour hot/boiling water over the plastic.

Once you do that, leave the rexlace to cool completely, or pour cool water to make it cool down faster.

That should make them curly! If they don't hold the shape well, try shocking the plastic by pouring ice cold water right after pouring the boiling water. That will make the plastic harder, but also more brittle.
neon love will always be in my heart!
