Crin install?

Post by Forbiddance » Mon May 31, 2010 5:16 am

Not sure if there is a thread about this, but recently i've seen a few pictures of people with Crin installed in their hair kinda like DEs I've only seen 2 maybe 3 pictures and it really intrigues me. Im thinking of doing this myself so i'd like to see any pictures of this to make sure it's what i want. if you have any pictures of yourself, a friend or some random person with crin installed please post!! thank you. ^-^

I dont have any photos, but i have installed it before. Its great, because it flattens where you braid it, so you can have a nice flattish braided part and then when you tie it in a ponytail it goes huge... meaning you dont have massive volume round your face, but all concentrated at the back...

Ikickshins installs look awesome... thats exactly the look i mean :)

i realise this is a slightly old post, but i just thought i would share these pictures of my boyfriends crin install

we used small crin from Ikickshins, sealed off the ends with clear nail varnish

i braided all his hair, cut the crin twice as long as he wanted it and cut a little slice about halfway down the piece (just enough to open the crin up a little without chopping it in half!) and sealed that with nail varnish
then, i slipped a braid down one 'half' of the crin and rubber banded it at the base!
in effect, he had double ended crin without his hair showing too much

heres a pic that shows it fairly clearly, you can see the braid down the half of the white piece at the front

@Phexxie

That....is.....awesome.

Sorry for bamping, but I've never really heard too much about crin installs, what is maintenance like? Anybody know? Definitely something I'd look into now. Curse you all for feeding my curiosity! xP

Hope it helps!

I'm pretty sure one piece would be like one DE.

I was gonna ask the best way to install crin, but then saw this.

I'm gonna do mine DE way with blanket braid.
