Tougher crin thin- thick - interested?

Post by diversityhair » Wed Dec 30, 2009 7:12 pm

Ive got some samples of a slightly different type of crin from the normal stuff i sell. Its tougher, less bendy/springy (i can also get very solid slightly bendy stuff) and comes in various widths from really thin 0.5cm diameter upwards to about 2" diameter and lots of sizes inbetween. It comes in pastel and flourescent colours along with browns, and blonde/beige shades.

Is anyone interested in this? If so i will try and get a colour chart together and get it on the website. I may possibly be able to send out small samples when/if i order a load in.

It might be nice if you have a picture for us to look at:) Although it does sound interesting. An idea of what you'd have to price it at would be helpful too.

Pricing im still in negotiations with, so i need to find out if there is interest before i can find out pricing etc and what quanities it'll come in. It shouldnt be naymore expensive than the crin i already sell though.

Heres some photos, they are all i have for the moment. There are more thicknesses than this.

Hope that helps a bit.

Yes, its a fair bit tougher than the normal crin, so doesnt have that same bounce to it, but it nicely sits somewhere between tubing and crin :D Im going to order some in and then will hopefully be able to give out samples.

I would be interested in seeing samples of any "blond" type shades as well as feeling just how much stiffer it is. Price would be a factor as well, but I must say I am interested.

Ok, firstly thanks for all the input.

Ive worked out some rough prices for you all... These arent set in stone yet as i dont know what postage charges and VAT and customs will be for me, but they shouldnt alter too much.

The colour range is reasonable with about 8 different shades that would match varying blonde shades of hair well, along with black, white, oranges, yellow, greens, blues, greys, purples, lilacs, turquoise, brown and pinks.

The sizes and coarseness available are (this is their diameter) ... with rough prices

The fine stuff is still more ridgid than the normal crin, but has flexibility and a small amount of spring to it. it comes in the following sizes...

2.8mm per 10 meters £6
4.5mm per 5 meters £4
6.5mm per 5 meters £4.50
10.0mm per 5 meters £6

The coarser one that is very stuff and doesnt have much flexibility (think of it more like a crin alternative to tubing) comes in the following sizes...

17.0mm per 5 meters £8
20.00mm per 5 meters £8.50
25.0mm per 5 meters £9
32.00mm per 5 meters £10

I can see the thinner stuff being more of use.

In order to get all sizes in all colours would cost me ALOT, so what i plan to do is get a small amount in in perhaps one or 2 sizes and colours to start with and see what you think of it?

Is there a particular size and rough colours people would like? I was thinking potentially black and white?

Let me know, as sooner i know the sooner i can get some in. Short of that, if any of you wanted to make a group order via here of specific colours to start with then i may potentially be able to do that and use the group of you are guinea pigs. In which case, prices listed are what you'd pay and id do the postage free to your individual addresses.

Let me know guys :) and thanks for all the opinions etc.

I'd definitely be up for some of the very thinnest in blue and purple, maybe green depending on the hue :)

Waow.

Looks amazing!

I would guess that the standard type colours would be most popular - black, white, red probably most. Are any of them uv reactive?

I would probably be interested in the 10mm more crin like stuff in a shade similar to 613 or bleach blonde. Maybe some accents of the other. I would be down for a bag or at least a sample, or to see photos of the materials used in falls.

Ok, well anyone wanting to actually order some, here is a photo of the colour chart... be aware its not going to be 100% accurate to the actual colours because of my camera and your individual screne resolutions, but you get the idea.

If you want to order, write what you'd like here by the 18th January, at which point ill message you all with your order totals, and once i have all your paypal payments ill get it in for you along with what ill be ordering for the site.

If no-one wants to order exactly what they want now, then you'll have to wait for what goes on the site, which may be very basic colours or just black to start with, so that i can get every thickness for people to have a look at.

Also i forgot to mention the coarse crin 17.0mm and up, only comes in White, off white and black. The rest of it comes in all colours shown.

Hi, I didnt get any in as there wasnt enough interest to warrant the spend, but i do have a massive bag of coarse black crin got from another supplier some time ago. Theyd squashed it a bit in transit so i cant put it on site, but its perfectly usable as most of it is fine.

If you want some of that i can send you 4 bundles for £10. There is approx 20meters per bundle.
