Anyone used Cosworx Wigs?

Post by NeonAddiction » Mon Jun 22, 2009 12:03 pm

I'm going to buy a cosworx wig, because they seem to be very high quality, and the colors are pretty nice!

Has anyone used/worn/played around with these kind of wigs?

I messaged them and asked what kind of wigcap it has, and for pictures of what it looks on the inside, and while I didn't get any pictures, they said they are skincaps, so I assume they are very nice?

I'm gonna be putting ALOT of plastic tubing onto the wigcap, so I'm wondering if these are a good type of wig to do that on?

Higher quality wigs don't have mesh on the inside - it's lace and elastic and weft. It actually allows the wig to look more natural. Is very rare to have a mesh base on a wig with a skin top (which is a plastic top on a wig which allows you to play with the part at the top a little and not expose the base of the wig, which is lace).

Ironically enough, the cheaper wigs have a stronger fabrics. If you're going to be doing some serious work, either buy a weave cap from Doc or Ikickshins, or get a cheap wig. The wig fiber (hair) quality won't be great but if you're replacing it with another material anyways, it doesn't much matter.
