So it's been a long time since I've done a dread wig, and I used to buy my base wigs for dreading from Professional Only, but I just checked Ebay (as I have plans for a new wig for myself rattling around my brain) and there's no listings. I searched for other sellers, but a lot of the wigs I found that look suitable are listed as "Japanese Heat Resistant Fiber" that states the wigs are resistant to heat so you can style them with a hairdryer and whatnot. What IS this stuff? It seems to me that if it's that heat-resistant it would be a pain to seal, and may not seal at all.
I did a specific search for kanekalon wigs, but it yielded only a few results, and none in the color that I need. Help? I need a dark purple wig with a shaggy-ish fringe.

I've got two PO wigs in Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop/dreadviolet
Also, there's a seller called Firstlow in Ebay. They have KK wigs, pretty much the same wigs that PO had.

Re: Base wig - no more PO???
I am bumping this thread because this issue has plagued me recently. The "High-Temperature Synthetic Fiber superior to Kanekalon" or "heat resistant 150c synthetic fiber" found in the item descriptions of many online sellers suggests the hair won't seal properly to me. I checked some of the links offered in this thread and, still, I am having trouble finding wigs out of good old KK. Can anyone either confirm that the material used to construct these "heat resistant" wigs does/does not seal properly, or vouch for a particular wig seller? If there is another thread on this subject please link me. If not I will list my findings in this thread In case anyone else is in need of this information. Cheers!
I was able to find a few wigs on www.wigisfashion.com by going through item descriptions but there were only 6 or so total wigs not listed as "heat resistant"
