Hairuwear help?

Alright, so I bought these hair extensions in December and I've hated the the entire time and I haven't even worn them once. Sadly, they're synthetic, they're hairuwear by Jessica Simpson and Ken Paves. Here's a link to them http://www.hairuwear.com/hairdo/collect ... -extension
Now, I'm just wondering, if there any way I could possibly take them off of the whole "Head piece" and just have them as separate wafts? The wig part is also a tad big for my head, so it's kind of awkward, also I need tips on how to blend it <3. and any other advice?
