Extensions too obvious and too straight?!

Post by kezerb » Tue Sep 30, 2008 8:45 pm

This is what I have

Image

I want the blonde that length under my ginge but I think it looks a bit to obvious.
Also as you can see my hairs not perfectly straight (Thats after I straighten it, although not brushed and been in a bit of drizzle)

How can I wave the hair a little and make it stay wavey?
Also tips for making my ginger merge into the blonde a bit more?

Thank yous

EDIT:

Image

I've straightned my hair and brushed it in. Do you think it looks better?

you can curl good quality synth hair with curlers or tongs like you do normal hair to get a bit of a kink in them. for blending it in more, i think you'd need to add more of the extension hair and cut the length then razor it to blend it in. if you have more through out the rest of your head, it'll look less out of place. at the minute it just looks like you only have one row in along the bottom.

how much do you have in and how have you put it in?

Sorry forgot to mention it's human

It's only clip-in's as most of the time I hate long hair but sometime's I really want it.
And yeah I have just one doubled over weft as I only wanted the underlayer to be blonde and I have an undercut...

you'll need to add more if you want it to look good and less obvious. if it's just the underside then just do layers in a kind of pyramid up to the crown.

with human hair you can just style it like you would normal hair so you can curl it as you normally would to add some texture

Won't that make my blonde up the middle of my head?

Buy a set of a colour that is very close or exact to yours.. clip that in above the blonde. This way you can have the blonde underneath but very well blended.

www.ikickshins.net

sells pretty high quality wefts for a great price, she also sells clips that are extremely easy to sew on.
That way its so much cheaper than buying from a supplier for a set that equals to 100 dollars plus++.

you will need to have 2 rows of each colour at least anyways. and the gingery colour will have to be an inch or 2 longer than the blonde as it is placed up higher.

Why would the ginger have to be longer when I wanted the blonde to be longer so it shows out?

Other than adding more, you could try washing the weft. It's always so straight and won't really blend in untill you wash all the oil and stuff out of the hair.
If you leave it to hang-dry, the texture will be more like your own hair.

I thought you were going towards the blonde being the underneath colour...
sorry

because the gingery colour is going be higher up your head, it needs to be longer than the blonde. the blonde will be lower and will still be visible but if you're wanting it to blend in more, there'll need to be less of a difference in length between the colours. keeping the length difference to a few inches instead of the big leap you have right now will make it look more natural. that make sense?
