'Kanecaron' wigs?

Post by Candied_Angel » Sat Apr 24, 2010 11:23 pm

Hey everyone!

I'm thinking about starting a dread wig pretty soon and I was wondering if anyone has ordered a base wig from off of Fanplusfriend.com? I found a wig in the perfect colour and I think the perfect fiber. It says that the wig is 'Kanecaron' which, I'm hoping, is just a misspelling of 'Kanekalon'.

Has anyone run into this problem before?
Is there really a fibre of hair called 'Kanecaron'?

Put it in google ;)

It looks like it's the same thing, or similar, from what I can gather anyway

EDIT: oooh in that search I've just discovered that Barbie's hair is kanekalon

Kanekalon is usually of Japan origin. The Japanese dialect do not have any R's in the vocabulary, and they are pronounced as L's. Hence why they are often mixed up when translated into english.

Rivetlicker_ is right but its the other way round hun, they don't have any L's they have R's instead, have been learning Japanese for 7 years. so that seems like the Japanese pronounciation of the word, should be the same thing

Thanks a lot guys!
That would make a lot of sense since it is a japanese site after all.
I'll probably order a wig soon and let you know how it works out.

I had no idea that Barbie's hair was made out of Kanekalon!
I might just have to dig up my old dolls and practice my dreadmaking.
