Say, submersion in near boiling water, would that effect the thick/thin shape of point 5 colinette? I'm a bit of a n00b when it comes to spun wool and have never owned colinette so any help would be appreciated

I'm not sure if point 5 colinette is treated so that it doesn't felt
(wool can be treated so that it doesn't act as it normally does)
