I am so unsure of what to use, can anyone give me some suggestions on what to use to get a vivid purple, ideally the cadbury's packaging sort of purple.. I am desperate, and in a rush.. has anyone managed to have any success with anything?

Have you tried these dyes?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vinegar-Acid-Dye- ... 7C294%3A30
I've used a pink in this and it was brilliant.
Can't speak personally about the purple, but it might be worth a try.
If you need it fast ebay might not be the best option, but maybe have a look in fabric stores etc where they sell fabric dye, you should be able to find them there.
Hope that helps hun,
Hugs. xx

There's loads of dyes out there, but if you're only using koolaid, have you tried mixing a tiny bit of red cherry in with ice blue?

You want Violet in the Jacquard Acid Dye...the Purple is too dark to get the Cadbury shade.

Thank you for the replies, DreadStarMonstar already linked me to the Jaquard Dyes, although it is good to knowe that the purple would be too dark..
