Re: Felting wool on natural dreadlocks?
I only see the technique using a felting needle. I'm looking for using the wetning technique for extending natural dreads. I think that has been used here:

Re: Felting wool on natural dreadlocks?
Thanks miss chaotic
I've wet-felted wool into non-dreaded hair, but I assume it'd work just fine on a dreadlock (assuming your dreadlock isn't full of dreadwax)
What's nice, is when felting dreads into someone's hair, you can use shampoo.
That way it's not too rough on the hair.
To do these, I braided the person's hair, wrapped the wool around the braid, and got it all sudsy
Rinse the dread out well, because the excess soap can cause rotting over the long term.

If you felt hair into somebodies hair, could you still remove it after some time?
or is it really felted together?

Re: Felting wool on natural dreadlocks?
are these permanent? I've had my roving installed for a week and im so in love with it that i'm looking for a way to make it more permanent. i was thinking of felting the tops of SE's to more wool wrapped around my hair, (like in the picture) and then letting my roots dread up as they grow out and felting more wool around them. Any oppinions?Jane Doe wrote: To do these, I braided the person's hair, wrapped the wool around the braid, and got it all sudsy
