Bamboo Roving?!

I am new to roving and as i search ebay and etsy for cool colors and hot deals i find many other types of "roving" I'm wondering if anyone has tried using things such as "bamboo" or "hemp" roving to make dreads & what kinda results you might have had?! PICS would be AWESOMEEEEE!! ty <3

You can needle-felt bamboo roving, but not wet felt so to make dreads would take forever.

Basically, if it can be wet felted, it should be able to be made in to dreads. Look for merino, corridale & such like.

I didn't wanna post another thread but i had another question about fibers if u don't mind Monstar... i keep seeing multi colored wool and I've tried looking tru the pics but i can not seam to find any or notice any that are made with this multi colored wool, have you used it and do you have any pics? Thanks <3

Edit, never used it to make full dreads before but I have used it for accents:

A lot of wool dread makers combine their own colors, skipping the sometimes more expensive pre-made blends. I've never used any myself though.
