How long can I keep them in for x_x
I'm asking so many questions, I'm sorry!!
I know this is a really lame question, but I just want to make sure...
I've researched and everything seems to say a different thing!
One site says up to two months, another says 3/4 months, and another says just 3/5 weeks
I'm sure I've read somewhere else that they had them in for 8 months O.O or maybe that's just totally out of my head
Basically, I want to keep mine in for more than 2 months since I've put all the effort in lol but I don't want my hair to start dreading or get too damaged, I can deal with combing it and conditioning but don't want it to be ruined haha.

It's basically just personal preference. I usually don't go over a month, but there are people that don't take them out for at least 6 months. There are all sorts of tips and tricks for getting the dreads out when you've left them in a while. Some use conditioner, fabric softener, all sorts of stuff.

Just keep an eye on root growth. I take mine out after a max of 4 weeks, but by then they need re-braiding. If they're braided in tightly enough you'll be fine, but if they're loose (or end up too loose) your roots can dread up.
It won't be ruined - don't panic though when you wash your hair for the first time after taking them out - you'll think you're going bald. But it's just the hair that has shed naturally but hasn't gone anywhere cos it's been in a braid for weeks.

For wool i'm different than i am with synths. personally my scalp gets oily faster with the wools so i have to wash more often and earlier than with synths.

I'm the same way! Wool is also warmer and makes my scalp sweat, which makes it itchy. I'll do a rinse with water while they're installed every so often, but I still can't get away with an install for more than a month.xalternmommyx wrote:For wool i'm different than i am with synths. personally my scalp gets oily faster with the wools so i have to wash more often and earlier than with synths.

I'm able to leave wool in alot longer than synth because it is soooo much easier to wash my scalp with woolies in. That's just me though.

Ahh ok thanks for that,
Is it easy to tell when they're getting too loose at the roots?
I mean, if you're not feeling any discomfort how do you tell that you should take them out before your hair dreads or something? haha

As a general rule (for me anyway) If I can get my finger in behind the dread they're too loose.

I find my natural hair dreads into roving a lot faster than synth.
Not the roots so much as the tips lol
