Installing Curly Roving

Post by miasmahair » Sat Jul 17, 2010 11:26 pm

Hey hey, so I've seen a few you you do some lovely curled roving sets recently and I was wondering if anyone has installed theirs yet, and if so, how are the curls standing up to being worn? I have a customer who wants curls for an install set, and I've never installed any curls on myself, so I would love to know how you guys have got on with them. Thanks! :)

DollyLox & Squidgy have installed the ones I made for them, Squidgy let hers drop naturally, they don't hold as well as synth...but I guess that is to be expected. I pulled at a dread or two & found if you "scrunch" them back up (like you do with real curls) the curl sorta comes back.

I also found the super felted wool seems to hold a curl better - but a hot wash causes them to shrink :(

Yep as Sarah mentioned my curly dreads from her did drop, but then so do synths...
I think they looked better once they had dropped slightly tbh, the curls seemed a bit more natural after a week or two.. still beautiful though and super well felted so will be getting lots of wear from them... i love them sarah! :P
